I know this is not Facebook but this topic is near and dear to my heart. Please help however you can the people of Puerto Rico. There are several ways you can help support by your favorite charity, churches or local fire department.

For those in Rockland, see this:

• Rockland County is collecting the following items to send to Puerto Rico: Baby formula, adult and children’s diapers, wipes, water cases, flashlights, battery-operated camping lanterns, batteries, tarps, blankets, battery-operated AM/FM portable radios, new personal first aid kits and feminine hygiene products.

• Items can be dropped off from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at the Fire Training Center, 35 Firemen’s Memorial Dr. Pamona
