Five Foundations of AI Adoption
AI adoption is not about technology alone — it's about governance and leadership. Five foundational steps for any organization getting started.
AI adoption is not about technology alone, it’s about governance and leadership.
In this short clip at the Nasdaq Talks I share a few perspectives on how organizations can approach AI. Equally important are the foundational steps, some that I didn’t mention:
- Set a clear AI policy to define boundaries, expectations, and accountability.
- Build a risk assessment framework so adoption is intentional, not accidental.
- Establish a cross-functional governance council—bringing together business leaders, legal, compliance, security, and technology.
- Prioritize change management and workforce readiness, because adoption fails without trust and training.
- Commit to continuous oversight and refinement so AI evolves responsibly as the business grows.
The companies that succeed will be those that combine innovation with discipline, and opportunity with responsibility. AI is a long game, but leaders who bring structure and foresight will unlock its true value.
