Mythos: Board Implications – What This Means Now

The shift we are seeing with AI is not theoretical. It is already changing how organizations approach technology risk, investment, and resilience. Cyber risk is no longer just about prevention. It is becoming a speed and resilience problem. The time between vulnerability discovery and exploitation is collapsing, in some cases to hours (or even mins).

What this means now:

• Reframe cyber risk as speed and resilience, not just prevention
• Measure how fast you can detect, respond, and recover, and where humans remain in the loop
• Shift investment toward AI enabled security capabilities
• Redefine metrics beyond patch SLAs to time to contain and limit impact
• Plan for higher incident frequency and operating through constant attack conditions

How are you evolving board level conversations around cyber risk? Share your perspective in the comments.
