How much of a Jungle was it…

Although I’m not a huge fan of the show Lipstick Jungle I was happy to be part of the cast and in the Jazz club scene a few months ago.  I always find it funny how people go crazy over seeing celebrities in public but when you are on the set working sided by side with a fellow actor you clearly see that they are really no different than the average person.

They are doing a job just like you and enjoy it the same as you.  You don’t see people running up to them to get their authographs and what not, they are truly just regular people.

With that said, the cast did a great scene and one side note about Brooke shields, she is in incredible shape, having grown up watching her in movies like Blue Lagoon, it was great to chat with her for just a minute and see her in person…

You can see my TV debut as a jazz club patron on the show on episode five (105) about 50 seconds into the scene at the jazz club I can be seen behind Victory Ford in that opening scene.  I’m hard to miss with my blue/white club shirt.

What I’ve been up to lately…

Ok so it’s been a few months that I haven’t posted any news on what I’ve been up to.  I could go on and on about how busy I have been filming new projects but the fact of the matter is, I’ve been really lazy and haven’t had the desire to write anything.  Yes I have been working on new projects.  I actually just finished shooting a Heinz commercial that should be posted for a contest on their site in the coming weeks.

I have also performed again the Lead role of Jose in the play “Lessons Learned” in the public schools in and around NYC.  I can still connect with this character because I still remember what it was like when I was graduating Lehman High School and had to figure out what my plan for life was going to be.  The last performance we did in Queens was an exciting one and I felt the audience really connected with the cast.

I’ve also been on a few auditions for other theatre and film roles.  I’ll keep my fingers crossed and keep going full steam ahead because “I know I can” little quote for JC from one of his favorite shows :)

One last piece of news to wrap this up, ActorsConnect.com is still going strong and we are averaging more than a handful of user registrations a day!  This free social network geared towards Actors, directors, entertainers, etc. that was founded a couple a years ago by yours truly me.  We don’t intend to compete with myspace but we do intend to continue to bring castings notices and more useable functions & site content to this very niche market.  Also stay on the look out for some new solutions spewing from the geeky side of my brain ;)

Till then, be well…

Running Down West…

This past weekend, I had the privilege of playing the role of Cashier in the movie Running Down West directed by Josh Dobson, along side the lead actors Daryl Crittenden (Jesse) and Abigail Savage (Danielle).

It was a late night shoot in a C-town Supermarket in Queens but it was a lot of fun and I have to give credit to the crew because it ran smoothly and very professional from the outset. From the director down, the crew were very professional and probably one of the best crews I’ve had an opportunity to work with in my short acting career.

Take a look at the trailer for the movie Running Down West and stay tuned for the flick which should be hitting the Film Festivals shortly…

Dirty Shield released…

Take a look at some stills taken from the movie in the photo gallery and here’s a teaser below ;)
