Military Stress

On set in Conneticut with a crew of young good actors filming a military stress video. I guess I can say I’m doing my part with helping military families deal with the stress and trauma of there experience after they return from combat.

Here’s a pic, I’m clean shaven and play the part of a concerned spouse of a military woman who is dealing with post tramatic stress disorder (PTSD) after she came back from combat. I’m just relaxing in this nice home in CT in between takes.

My Soap Opera debut

On September 30, 2008 I made my soap debut on a not so well known show [sarcasm ;) ] called All My Children.  I had a small part in the bar scene “The Comeback Bar” and you can see me during several shots.  I’m wearing a brown suede leather jacket and brown sunglasses and you can see me chatting with another actress at the bar.

I had a great time on the set and it went really fast.  We shot the scene in under an hour and my day was done in about ~3hrs.  Very different than my experiences on the set of movies and/or shows like Lipstick Jungle that ran for what felt forever…lol

All in all, great time on set and experience and can’t wait to do it again!

Btw here’s a clip from the show from one of the scenes filmed that day, if you see the full show you’ll notice me throughout but here’s one clip…

Red Hook High TV pilot

Had the opportunity to play a HS teacher for a new pilot for TV that was submitted to the Festival this year.  You can read all about the pilot from ABC entertainment coverage

A good friend of mine in that of Trac Vu directed this pilot and if you’ve seen any of his work, you know he puts out good stuff having won an award at the Festival before.

Take a sneek peak at the trailer for – NYTVF 2008 Trailer: Red Hook High. If you stop it 48 seconds into the clip you’ll see a shot from behind me. Not what I wanted to appear on screen but remember it’s a trailer. This scene we did was complete improv and was pretty funny when we shot it a few times all having different dialogue. Btw the guy in the video with the glasses is a real teacher from Red Hook High.

All My Children is calling…

For those AMC fans out there be on the look out for yours truly :)   I’ll be on the set in a few weeks, hopefully making my mom proud…lol

The Electric company

Last month I had an opportunity to do some work on the set of the PBS show the Electric Company.  I played the role of a diner patron on the set, a very small part but as always I’m appreciative of the work as I took away some valuable experience while on set and got to meet a very funny and creative cast.  The scene shot was in the diner where the three main characters were trying to clear one of the young girls hiccups.
