Is it me or does it feel like someone turned off the heater outside and left the AC on high? What happened to summer? Feels like it went by very quickly this year! I know I went to the beach and on vacation but I miss the warm rays and warm weather. If I could only hit that jackpot!

A few months ago I had the pleasure of attending a Beyoncé concert. Now if you know me, well you know I’ve never really been to a concert before and having front row seats at any concert is great but at a Beyoncé concert it’s a memory that will stay with you for years to come. So since I’m feeling a bit nostalgic today, here are some words from one of her songs that reminds me of good times and keeps me hopeful of the future…

Seems like just the other day I was eating white rice with a fried egg and having a limber for desert in your kitchen at age 9. Probably one of the first jobs I ever had was helping you sell limber from your apartment in Puerta de Tierra, San Juan when I went to visit you. One of the last funny memories I have of you was driving around San Juan looking for my uncle with you in the back seat giving me directions and not realizing that “Siguelo por ayi” is not a direction that drivers like to hear when they can’t look back to see where it is that you are pointing to…lol

Today we lay to rest en El Cementerio Nacional de Puerto Rico, a beautiful lady who will be missed dearly, Love you Titi Provi, Bendicion…

I’ve found a new passion for photography

That’s right, you read the subject title correct! I invested in a nikon D60 to snag some cool pics of my 6yr old playing baseball and what I’ve quickly realized is that the guy who likes to be the center of attention and always in front of the camera doesn’t mind sharing the spotlight by hanging out behind the camera.

So as I explore the world with my new camera, I’ll allow you to venture into my mind through the lens of my camera.

Politics

Not usually into politics but I have to say this next election is going to be very interesting. Is the US ready for it’s first African American or Female president? Only time will tell.

I’d personally like to see a democratic president irrespective of a woman or AA because it just feels like we need a change. We’ve been bushed for the past 2 terms and I think the US is ready for some new leadership from a different party. I know I am!

Quick update – Obama (d) and Huckabee (r) win in Iowa Caucus.
