It’s always been said that March is the variable month of the year. Just when you get comfortable and think that it’s going to get warm outside because there is one or two days at the end of Feb. that warm up, bang! March kicks you in the rear with a big chill. Or in todays case, a snow storm in NYC.
So what’s there to do, well stay home and relax…almost forget and work… In this wonderful world we live in with Internet connectivity and remote access, snow days will soon become a thing of the past for everyone. I’m sure students won’t like schools turning to remote access on snow days but they should get ready because it’s coming very quickly…
Just reflecting back on those days of thinking, oh crap I’m getting old, I saw this news clipping from the NY Times which would’ve helped me feel better about that milestone in my life…
“a 30th birthday feels to many the way 21 once did, as the gateway to the more serious adult world. It is no longer a day to count up regrets stoically, but to pop the Moët & Chandon. Increasingly, it is celebrated with all the pomp of a graduation blowout or a wedding reception, with formal invitations, speeches, rented halls or yachts, and guest lists drawn from every stage of the person’s life. “ ~NYtimes.com
